Ana De Armas is outstanding. Speaking that I really only knew her from Blade Runner 2049, I was concerned about her playing this role. However, her preparation is more than apparent and I owe her an apology. Her acting is well done, the action is chef’s kiss

Synopsis

After the death of her father, the Ruska Roma take on a young girl who grows up working to become a Kikko Mora, a protector. She then runs into the same tribe of people who killed her father, and she wants her revenge.

Review

This is what The Continental From the World of John Wick should have been. Something that is for sure in the world, with the same grittiness, and fighting style. This movie feels just like John Wick did in the effort of storytelling. A brief intro to the new world, a training/history montage and then a dog fight to the finish.

I remember watching this in theaters and the John Wick walk in is so good. It feels triumphant, powerful, and downright outstanding. The action that he and Ana do together is honestly really good. You can see the fight scene for what it is. An old solider who is more than capable of taking out the enemy just wanting this to make better decisions.

My Rating

Actions and consequences. That is the story of the this movie. Whether it was the Dad, Ana, John, or the Director, all choices have consequences. This movie shows all of that, but also what a good spin-off can do and what I hope we get from the Caine movie. I really enjoy this movie have found it entertaining. I am going to give it an 8.

Parental Rating

Just like the rest of the John Wick Series, there is a litany of blood and language. However, it is all about protecting a family so there is a chance? Naw. No way would my Mom watch it and enjoy it. My Dad on the other hand might. It would be a tight call. I am going to say that they will both reject it though.
