DareDevil (Netflix)
I have enjoyed this show. It's gritty and entertaining, but at times super slow. Season 1 was great with a solid single story line. A blind dudes back story about how he became a boss. Simple and clean. A setup for the main villain that most people know from previous movies or the comics.

Synopsis
After losing his eyesight due to a chemical accident, Matt Murdock becomes the vigilante Daredevil by night and a lawyer by day. However, his two worlds have crossed over as some of his clients are the same people he is hunting at night.
Review
I wrote this initial part of the review in 2021 after finishing Season 2 and stopping because I couldn't get through Jessica Jones to watch The Defenders and then watch season 3. With Daredevil Born Again being announced, I am going to at least watch The Defenders and season 3 since those seem to be pretty close to what happened in the new series. The Season 3 review will below and notated.

Season 2 on the other hand was harder to reach. The episodes with the punisher in full swing were spectacular (see the episode of him fighting in jail... craziness). However, the second side story with Elektra, took so much time and effort away from it. An episode here and there would have been fine, but them filling every episode just made it frustrating. Extremely tedious at times. The fact that in the second season the broken back psychiatrist was able to woop up the DHS agent's ass is crazy. She should never have been able to do what she did if she was always limping and in pain. Come on.
Season 3
Season 3 is where we get weird. There is a lot more mysticism and magic than the grounded action of previous. It is still there, but not as relient. Sigourney Weaver does an outstanding job and I am not terribly mad at this season. The final fight scene is super good. Also the final change to the "Rabbit in a Snowstorm" or whatever the title of that painting is called is very artistic. Well played.
My Rating
The show is good overall. I thought the first season was really good at an 8 with the second season really killing what I thought was going to be an almost perfect show. There are just too many issues logically with the second season for me. The third season you can see the story fizzling as Disney was taking its IP rights. However, the acting and dedication by the team in the fight work is outstanding in keeping you entertained. Did it work? Hell Yeah. If season 2 had been this good, It could have been a 9 of a show, but it was a 7 for me.
Parents Rating
There is a lot of blood and violence. Some sex scenes that don't last, but are enough that you know it isn't for cable TV. Language is there as well. I think my dad would still approve based on the rules and I know that first season was really good for him to watch. My mom wouldn't be interested in it too much. So approved by Dad and rejected by Mom.
