The Night Agent
This is one of the must frustrating shows. Much like The Recruit, it is so wrong, but entertaining at times. I have to talk about a couple of things that just pushed me to the edge. First, there are so many reasons that he wouldn't have been there to begin with.
Synopsis

Review
This is one of the must frustrating shows. Much like The Recruit, it is so wrong, but entertaining at times. I have to talk about a couple of things that just pushed me to the edge. First, there are so many reasons that he wouldn't have been there to begin with. His dad was a traitor so he would never have passed a clearance. Second, Rose who manages to tell the FBI and White House that what she wants is enough to skip protocol. I get there is a bit of plot for that, but come on. Third, They spent ZERO time in getting their extras to do the right thing. Look at this clip and picture!

What is the problem with these things, first they don't go to a position of attention. Second, the 2 dude in cammies, which is wrong, don't salute. Third, they are just standing there. Fourth and final, the pilot is too fat for the position. I am not calling out the actor, I am calling out the position. The HMX teams that fly the president around are the epitome of Marines. Meaning they are fit, are perfect in their movements, and their uniform doesn't have any rumples.
Ok, enough with that, lets talk about the actors. It is really sad when the leading lady is half the actress as some ensemble cast. She has one look, a teary-eyed pouty face. She has more plot armor than anyone else. In the second season you have Noor who was incredible in the way to expressed things even looking so different depending on her costuming. So kuddos to the costumers. In the third season you have Isabela and she was good. Didn't really do much I don't think, but I felt like she was diverse in her views and actions. I think the power house of those two other woman really point out how boring Rose was. The Secret Service agent also felt like a better character than Rose. Peter is also just rough at times. His moral compass is supposed to be something that drives his character, but it is a wavering compass at the best of times.
The action is fun. I think the story works, even with it being so far-fetched. There are some good fight scenes, and some really stupid parts that feel like add up to the point that you can get pulled out of the show.
My Rating
I found this show to be frustrating all the way through to the point that my wife told me to shut up at some points. She agreed that there are issues, but overall it is a fun story that is enjoyable to watch. I do hope that in the fourth season that comes out in 2027, Rose is still gone. She is very much the most stupid smart person of all time in TV. Building a spy app and not thinking about the commercial applications of that. Peter is fine, he isn't my favorite character, but he at least feels like a person trying. I would give this a 6 due to the number of issues in characters.
Parental Rating
There is some blood and decent amount of violence. There is a decent amount of language as well. There isn't any sex or sexual content which is a nice and might make it easier for my mom to watch it. In my parents retirement, specifically my mom, I know that she is watching a lot more. Preferring the same kind of show, but some shows like this would be acceptable. So I am weirdly going to say approved by both.
