Synopsis

Prior to the events on Scarif, Cassian Andor is the smuggler turned spy that helped bring new of the death stars creation as well as the destruction of the empire.

Review

This might be some of the best TV that you will ever watch. It is for sure the best TV that Star Wars has ever produced and that is saying something speaking that I love The Mandalorian.

What makes it so good I think is because they got to work backwards from the end. The end being Star Wars Rogue One which I will rewatch soon as it runs right after the end of this show. Forcing a set number of seasons is what allowed them to tell a complete story and fill it with strife, anger, love, tradecraft, and hope.

Diego Luna should get an Emmy for this. For two seasons he has brought Cassian to live. Played a complicated and growing character that only got better as the show went on. He is also surround both others who bring the heat in their performances that you can't stop watching this show. Disney putting 3 episodes out a week I think was a brillant move as it hooked you to watch "just one more."

The action is heavy and inspiring with the comedy coming in light touches. K2 is an amazing character and I am very happy we got to see him come to the rebellion.

My Rating

I really don't have much to say in the way of negatives in this review. What hurts it for me in the second season is a lot of slow the build up characters that we know, but I am not sure I have ever thought ok. I am speaking specifically of Bix. I am not sure why we spent so much time with her character for such little long term pay off. Maybe I am missing something from the comics, but I don't think so. I like her character's end, but I don't think it really added anything to the story. The rest of the show is chef's kiss. Just outstanding. This show is a 9 and is a must watch.

Parental Rating

No language, not even in universe swear words. Violence is limited to select scenes and only a couple scenes of kissing. This show has 0 kids or family elements in it and while my mom might like it, it isn't something she would ever sit and watch I don't think. My dad on the other hand would really enjoy it. I know he enjoys Star Wars and this just slides right into it. Rejected by Mom and approved by Dad
