Synopsis

A new teenage relation starts off fun, but then turns uncomfortable as the couple starts receiving harassing text message from an unknown caller. These text continued for years.

Review

Yo, this documentary is crazy. You just cannot believe what these messages say, how they are perceived by the victims and the people the police are investigating. You also cannot believe how some parents talk about each other. It gets ugly quick. I mean it is a tiny town really.

This documentary is really well done. I think the interviews are well done, and the story is very well told. They do a great job of not dropping hints of the story so if you don't know then you will be completely surprised.

As a note, I am intentionally not saying anything about the story outside of this as that is what makes this so wild. The ups and downs and whatnot is crazy. Also, one of the other hosts of the Epic Screen Time Podcast hasn't watched it yet.

My Rating

Documentaries are hard to rate. I think I mentioned this in A Body in the Snow, or Titan: The OceanGate Disaster, but sometimes talking about this in this way does more damage than good. Trying to focus on how the information was presented and the story of events as if it didn't damage a life, I'd give this an 8.

Parental Rating

I think the story is wild enough that if my parents were into documentaries, they would watch it. Based on the rules, there is a lot of sexual language explicitly toward minors, lots of actual language. Based on the rules, both of them are out. Rejected by both.
