Triple Frontier

This tells a very good story. A very classic story about greed, actions and consequences. It really provides you with a good understanding of those that leave active service. That confusion, loss, lack of funds, and then attempting to find something that would set things right.

Review

How did I never hear about this movie? It has Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, Charlie Hunnam, and Pedro Pascal. However, it was me looking into movies with Pedro after watching The Last of Us that I found it.

This tells a very good story. A very classic story about greed, actions and consequences. It really provides you with a good understanding of those that leave active service. That confusion, loss, lack of funds, and then attempting to find something that would set things right.

There is a line in the movie along the lines of "You've been shot 5 times for your country and can't afford to fix your truck." This hit home way more than I think it should have. That is for sure one of the worst things about leaving is the lack of support that you feel. There is a multitude of reasons, but pay is for sure one of the things that hits the most after years of combat I'm sure.

The action is pretty good. It feels genuine and real, but more in line with movies where the story is the most important part, rather than the action being the main part of the story.

The acting is decent. There for sure are some scenes that feel a little forced, but I think it fits the characters they built, so I am not terribly mad.

My Rating

I had never seen this movie and don't even remember it ever coming out or honestly anything about it from 2019. The cast is crazy, and they work well with the story. However, the entire movie is just decent there really isn't anything that is great. So it is a 7. Also, the name of the movie makes no sense to me about the actual story.

Parental Rating

Lots of language and a hell of amount of violence for generally little purposes. The language is so much that I think Dad will avoid it. Plus, I think he doesn't like Affleck. My mom also would like this at all. So I am going to say rejected by both.
