Movies Immaculate I am honestly not sure why I watched this other than it being the beginning of spooky season, and I am very sorry that I did. I was expecting a horror film and got a nun slasher film with plot holes and unanswered questions the size of a VW bus.
Movies Hit Man This movie was not what I expected. I honestly had no idea what it was about and had no real intention of watching it, but my father-in-law put it on while they were visiting. The story is where I just get angry. There are so many plot holes for a "true story" that it makes no sense.
Movies Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom I am so mad at how dumb this movie is. Scene stolen from Star Wars, the Cantina line and the Jabba the Hut intro scene, the characters from Street Sharks, and lastly "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids". It was corny, bro-y, and just over the top stupid.
Movies The Marvels This movie was ok, but so full of plot holes that even to the most enamored, it doesn't make sense. The fight scenes are lazy and short, the story is half complete, and it just feels rushed and CGI heavy.
Movies The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes The first half of this movie is solid and sets up an awesome double feature, but then dies in complete and utter failure. Viola Davis is the absolute powerhouse of this movie and everyone else pales in comparison.Correction, Peter Dinklage also killed it.
Books Haunting Adeline It's a terrible book. Rape, sexual assault, and degrading material are outrageous and the author should be ashamed at an attempt to make it ok because the stalker is in "love" with the victim. This feel of crap is also added by the overwhelming amount of juvenile writing
Movies 57 Seconds What a garbage movie. This should have been a made for TV movie because there is nothing of true quality about it. For instance, you can hear them do a voice over. They obviously had to go back and AVR it because the volume on these lines is about 3 levels higher and a different quality microphone.
TV Jessica Jones I was attempting to do per episode review of this show and Episode 4 killed me. This show has no damn purpose and I was never able to finish it. I have attempted 3 times since writing this over a year ago and no. Its a 4.
Movies Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny This movie tried so hard to pull in every recall from previous movies, with the exception of Crystal Skull, that they could. People, lines, and story are all the same. I am immensely surprised that Harrison Ford agreed to do this movie. It isn't anything different.
Books Hagakure If you are looking for a book that speaks to the ideas presented in The Last Samurai, this isn't it. This book is the written word of a Samurai Monk take by his apprentice. I am not sure what else to say. As with any collection of ramblings, some are good and some are downright stupid.
TV MH370 The Lost Flight While I typically try and be fair/easy of movies/tv shows, that will not happen with this one. Conspiracy theory central. This entire show is 100% a cash grab or "LOOK AT ME" by Jeff Wise. He is an aviation reporter and basically the entire show is him making the most outrageous theories possible.
Movies Monster Hunter What an awful movie. Like I knew it was going to be bad, but there are some decent stars in it, but dear God they have to be broke to do this movie. Overall, the injuries the characters sustain have no lasting effect, apparently a minigun and a .50 Cal machine gun do NO DAMAGE to monsters.
Books The Alchemist This book is terrible. The forward talks about having issues with getting the book published and I completely understand why. While a story does happen, it has a much depth as a children's cartoon show. A bad one like a Scrappy-doo only episode.
