This has got to the most basic TV show I've seen in a long time and is a miss for Apple TV in my opinion. The major issue story wise is that it just follows EVERY clique possible. From beginning to end. From dead-beat dads to Gen Z agendas.

One of the things this production group does well is make you feel like you are in the same place as they were during the war. To the point that I am curious if they did record in location, especially the little towns.

This is a very slow open show. It does take at least 2 episodes to really be interested and what keeps you involved is just the premise of the show and Renner. This feeling is the same for each season. The episodes are slow in general, but the first couple for each season as just REALLY slow.

I know that people are mad about this show because it doesn't match The Samerillion or something along those lines. I haven't read any of the books. I tried once in middle/high school and just got lost in the descriptions. I will give it an attempt in the next decade or so.

Holy crap. I did not expect this show to be this good. I also didn't realize that the entire season is just one shift. That was an awesome way to present the season and allow them to roll from one episode to the next. Super smart thought process there.

This pattern repeats itself up to the final episode where she makes the dumbest bargan of her life. Because she is selfish. She isn't a hero, she is the sociopathic "victim" that we all hate about Karens. Oh yeah, did I mention that she is a murderer? Cold-blooded.

I can't tell you how much I detest the ex-wife. She is annoying, manipulative, whiney, and downright atrocious that her scenes are almost unbearable. She is also a terrible influence on her daughter. That aside, that really is my chief complaint about the story.

It is a little larger than life at times with “The Whistle Blower,” “The Engineer,” etc splashing across the screen when you first get introduced to someone. I think there is even a part where they are looking the other direction, looking like a Bond villain stroking a cat.

Jason Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham are absolutely fantastic. Honestly, I think every single person really does an incredible job of growing into their roles. Between seasons there is some amazing character growth and I wish more shows and movies put this much effort into it.

I tried. I tried to watch this show and I just couldn't finish it. I have been watching this for a couple of years and the only way I kept moving forward was because I didn't want to watch the same show in a press as the TV was running in the background.

The comedy and drama have a pretty good balance. There are times however, where they have pushed the characters to just be at the limit of acceptable and mainly that is Missy. Actually the more I think about it, the more it feels like all main Young Sheldon cast are just being written out.

Diego Luna should get an Emmy for this. For two seasons he has brought Cassian to live. Played a complicated and growing character that only got better as the show went on. He is also surround both others who bring the heat in their performances that you can't stop watching this show.
