Iron Man 2
The action in this is still so cool. Whiplash walking onto the track and whipping these cars in half and just the destruction. I also love the final battle with the drones. It is really well done.

Star Wars: Rogue One
When this movie first came out, I thought it was good, but not needed. Today, 9 years later, I feel the same way. However, the movie has aged very well, and I think it is better than the 6 or 7 that I would have given it years ago.

The Expanse
I tried. I tried to watch this show and I just couldn't finish it. I have been watching this for a couple of years and the only way I kept moving forward was because I didn't want to watch the same show in a press as the TV was running in the background.

No sex, no language, limited graphic violence. Ok there are a couple scenes of someone sticking a hand inside Tony's chest so that is a bit outside my mom's preferences. My dad really enjoys this movie and Mom isn't completely apposed to it, so I am going to say approved by both.

Captain America The First Avenger
This was probably my least favorite movie in phase 1 and as I am watching 14 years later, it does a great job of holding up. The CGI looks good, the action is good, it isn't too cartoony, and the story is excellent. It still is a little slow.

There isn't anything inventive about this. The story is pitiful, the action is limited, and the characters are poorly written. I saw a review that says this is supposed to be like Ex Machina. That is 100% my issue. Ex Machina was 1000% better in story, action, and acting. It is a poor knock off.

Can we start with the conversation about this cast being excellent and somehow critics hated it? People love it, as they should, but critics have lost their mind. Big monster fighting will always be a fun watch.

couple other storyline plots like that, that just looking back make very little sense to the story structure. However, I don't think any of them take away from the story that is told, especially from the lens of what they were trying to achieve. Brining another generation into being Star Wars Fans.

The fights both between force users against each other and non-force users like on Jabba's Barge are iconic and honestly awesome. There are so many scenes that just make you feel that you are there and really just get pulled into the events.

Ok, romance story and CGI woes out of the way. The cast does really well playing their characters. You can see the edges getting frayed and the mentality that will lead him to become Vader. That is really what these movies are about. The rise of Vader and his tyranny.
