Movies The Beekeeper This is an action movie with no substance that will bring you a lot of entertainment. John Wick meets Jason Bourne is the best description I can give you for Jason Statham in this movie. He is brutal and aggressive and its awesome. This is the "Bee"-rated version.
TV Mr. Robot While I think this show was some of the worst writing that could ever have been done, the best acting occurred in the 4th season. Remi Malek and Christian Slater could be on a clinic for the midseason monologues and dialogues. It was emotional. It was powerful. It came 3 seasons too late.
Books The Cuckoo's Egg This book was recommended to me when I first started my career in cyber security. However, I didn't read it for the first time until a couple years ago (I wasn't a big reader back then) and have now reread it for the second time as I continue to find books to recommend for those that I mentor.
Books Sandworm This book provides a detailed and easily digestible to all who read it. Andy Greenberg does a fantastic job of bringing complex geopolitical, malicious code, and poor reactions to some of the largest cyber threats in the world.
Books Cult of the Dead Cow Joseph Menn spent so much time talking all about the different prominent members of CdC in both their technical and humanitarian efforts that you really can feel the impact they have left in the world. The end of the book is completely devoted to a hero-worship political puff piece.
Books Crack99 In this book you follow the investigation from David Hall and his team as they navigate the first real case of cyber theft. David does a great job of taking what could be a VERY technical and legalese filled book and breaking down each portion to make it digestible to the everyday reader.
