Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning
As this is one of the last movies in the Tom Cruise is Ethan Hunt Mission Impossible world, they did not hold back. There is a great cast of people and they play very well together.

I do not like what they did the Silveg. First off, he is played by a Skarsgard and deserves to be treated as such. I get why they made it happen, I just think the degree of it is more than any of the others portray and so it just feels extra. Jane is fine, Darcy is fine, Thor and Loki are solid.
Movies
This is the first movie that we get Ilsa Foust. This is such a great balance to Ethan. Better than any of the other women that we have had. The caveat to that is his wife, who was a counter point to him. Brought him peace. Ilsa is Ethan, a spy with dedication and a conscience.

I am not sure that Rachel’s character makes a ton of sense. She also shouldn’t have been so naive about the ramifications of what she was doing honestly. I think for someone so smart and not completely socially inept, she just constantly misses the mark throughout the movie.

Mom has a conditional approval of having watched the first two. While I think she wouldn't object, I think what would make her approve requires her to know Tony's growth. So that means she would have to watch Iron Man and Iron Man 2, maybe even The Avengers. That is a hard ask.

The action, the setting, and the story are so good. It also is probably one of the better tie-end and continuation of a movie directly after that isn't a true part 2. Let's start with the action. The fighting makes sense. There isn't anything that feels out of place
Movies
We are back on track with a good spy thriller. There is conflict, surprise, and really good action. The most memorable scene is where Ethan is escorting a prisoner over a long bridge and it is attacked. While some of the actions for sure are there to be over the top, but make it entertaining.
Movies
I really don't like the acting. Tom is fine, Laurence Fishburne is fine, and then it goes downhill with Thandiwe Newton, the love interest, and Dougray Scott. The whole love interest side plot honestly was harder to fathom than the creation of the world most deadly flu in order to create a cure
TV
I know that people are mad about this show because it doesn't match The Samerillion or something along those lines. I haven't read any of the books. I tried once in middle/high school and just got lost in the descriptions. I will give it an attempt in the next decade or so.
Movies
Lastly, the story. What made for mystery in the first movie, just becomes plot holes in the second. Honestly, the whole story is more about pride, arrogance, and deceit than it is about immortals trying to survive. There are a couple new introductions to new immortals which is a cool idea, but...
TV
This pattern repeats itself up to the final episode where she makes the dumbest bargan of her life. Because she is selfish. She isn't a hero, she is the sociopathic "victim" that we all hate about Karens. Oh yeah, did I mention that she is a murderer? Cold-blooded.
Movies
I think the acting is very 90s. I know it came out then, but it doesn't hold up. Ving, Tom, and Jon are really good. The rest... not so much. Honestly, I think Jean is just overly predictable in his role, but we might want to blame the writers on that.
