Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro, and Josh Brolin sell this movie like there is no tomorrow. It is one of my favorite movies and I am happy to watch it again when people ask about it.

The story is very deep and emotional bringing hope, no pun intended, and stress from start to finish. You can tell they the writers did research or at least had first hand knowledge of the pain of losing a spouse and mother to provide Oona and Jake.

Take your John Wick style action and add a little bit of comedic relief and you have “Nobody”. Now that I am writing this, and thinking about it, it is basically John Wick with more intentional comedy element. That statement doesn’t take away from what it is.

Mortal Kombat (2021)
Cheesy. Just like it was in the 90s and it is intentionally supposed to be that way and that is ok. If you have played any of the current video games or seen videos of them, you know that there is a fountain of blood and comic gore. This movie is right in line with that.

What an awful movie. Like I knew it was going to be bad, but there are some decent stars in it, but dear God they have to be broke to do this movie. Overall, the injuries the characters sustain have no lasting effect, apparently a minigun and a .50 Cal machine gun do NO DAMAGE to monsters.

First off, I expected this movie to be full of the typical zombie things and full of cheezy/chringy lines. I was thinking a bad mash up of Zombieland and the terrible crowdfunded movie Range 15. I expected it to be so bad I wouldn’t be able to finish it, like Range 15. However, I was wrong.

The Last of Us
Now this is how you turn a video game into TV Show/Movie. This show is spectacular. I honestly am trying to find some reason to point it out being bad, but it really is the exact opposite. It is almost perfect.

I know people hate Jennifer Lawrence, but she does a great and believable job with this. My wife noticed that he accent sucks, but she used to speak Russian so it is easier for her to hear. I on the other hand, didn't feel like it ever waivered out of her voice. It was consistent.

Amazingly inventive and visceral combat could not keep the snail from killing this show. Overall this is the slowest full production show that I have ever watched. This show only continued for 2 reasons. 1) it was, at the time, the best Apple TV show out and 2) Jason Momoa.

The Last Duel
Honestly, the fight scenes were WAY more crazy than I expected and by far the best part of this movie. The acting is really good, but the story was slow. [Ben Affleck] with blonde hair is something I never thought I'd see and he looks so weird. It takes a couple scenes to get used to it.

The Marksman
If Liam Neeson was attempting to be Rambo in Rambo: Last Blood from 2019. Story is almost identical. Something happens with drug traffickers south of the boarder that bleeds over into his property and he has to kill a whole bunch of Mafiosos. 6/10
