A nice change from the first movie was by adding some additional interpersonal issues that add to the comedy. They never feel like a distraction which is good. Plus the bad guys in this have a nice life of their own. They are a little stereotypical 90s villains...

Can we start with the conversation about this cast being excellent and somehow critics hated it? People love it, as they should, but critics have lost their mind. Big monster fighting will always be a fun watch.

My favorite movie series throughout my entire life. There are ups and downs in the series, but I think overall it is 100% still something that needs to be watched. It is also something that pushed the industry forward. Just look how Star Wars was received in 77.

couple other storyline plots like that, that just looking back make very little sense to the story structure. However, I don't think any of them take away from the story that is told, especially from the lens of what they were trying to achieve. Brining another generation into being Star Wars Fans.

I can vividly remember walking out of the theater in Arizona and having a huge complaint about this movie. Leia being Mary Poppins. She is blasted into space, and is able to wake up, calling on the force and float like Marry Poppins into the ship.

The fights both between force users against each other and non-force users like on Jabba's Barge are iconic and honestly awesome. There are so many scenes that just make you feel that you are there and really just get pulled into the events.

Ok, romance story and CGI woes out of the way. The cast does really well playing their characters. You can see the edges getting frayed and the mentality that will lead him to become Vader. That is really what these movies are about. The rise of Vader and his tyranny.

I can't tell you how many times I have seen this movie. Especially as a kid. I used to watch it on a small TV in the car between the front two seats that had a VHS player at the bottom. It was revolutionary for our car trips. However, I used to be able to quote this movie word-for-word.

The fight scenes are the best. I mean just look at Ewan and Hayden just spinning those things with such fluidity that it feels very natural. I remember seeing an interview, I think as part of the Obi-Wan TV show, where Ewan talked about them being so fast that they were told to slow down.
