Synopsis

A psychiatrist is treating a patient that witnessed a traumatic event that caused them to spiral. At the end of that spiral, they in turn create a traumatic event that the psychiatrist witness starting the cycle over again.

Review

This is a weird movie even for horror. A really interesting way to bring in a demon who wants to sow chaos. The smiles are just generally creepy and funny to me because years ago, I can remember riding in the car with my brothers friends and one of them was staring and smiling at the other just to weird him out and Jae about lost his mind. Even before this movie, I would think about that from time to time.

I digress from my kid's story. The acting in this movie, this is a "B" horror film and the acting supports that in my opinion. I know that someone is going to say this is an "A" film, there isn't enough to justify that. The actors and support team were inconsequential. Also, the story was intriguing but was so telegraphed that it was really just a unusual linear footpath.

What made me want to watch this movie was their marketing campaign. Just people standing at large events Smiling at the camera. Super simple, but effective.

My Rating

This is a 5. There wasn't anything that was worth calling home about, it doesn't really stick with you as the bad guy just kind is there. You just don't get pulled in. It's over and forgotten very quickly.

Parental Rating

Mom is out as there is violence and descriptions of violence that are graphic. The language is limited, but Dad isn't going to watch this as it just isn't that thing. I am going to say that they will both reject it even though technically my Dad would approve it, horror is one of the few things that has a niche consistent viewership. Rejected by both.
