Pitch Perfect 3

Synopsis

After their lives still haven't gone the way they thought, they join a USO tour that ends up being a competition to open for DJ Khalad.

Review

First off, I have no idea why Khalad is so famous other than his stupid "Another one" or "You played yourself." No idea his music or anything else. I don't think he is still relevent today in 2025. I could be wrong, but who cares.

The story on this one I completely forgot about. Well the main story. There is a large side plot where Fat Amy's Dad comes back into the picture and you learn that she ran away from him. I remember that more than anything to do with the USO or Ruby Rose even being in this movie.

The singing is fun and the acting is on par with the rest of it. I will say that there seems to be more jokes, both stupid and really funny with the whole Jessica and Ashley thing. What I do not like and speaks volumes in this is that there is ZERO character growth from the last movie. They are doing nothing different and nothing has changed except they got rid of the boys.

My Rating

This is for sure the "Last Call." It is a major downgrade in ideas, performances, and story as compared to either Pitch Perfect 2 and especially Pitch Perfect. I am not sure who phoned it in the most, but any way you look at it, they were all done. This is a 6, my wife said so.

Parental Rating

Some language and sexual references. No blood or gore, but some slap stick violence. Of all these movies, this is the one where the story would make my parents question why they are watching it, as there is so little value. I am going to say rejected by both and I don't blame them.
