Review

This movie is outstanding. Creating patterns and circles that honestly you can trace to Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning and back to Mission Impossible. It is incredibly done. The story for this is my favorite in the series. What I think that this movie does better than most if not all of the others is the weaving pattern within the individual movie. This turn and that. Move and counter move. It feels organic and impulsive to the characters, but you can see later that is was planned for the most part which is a HUGE intelligence move.

The action is so good. The hand to hand fight scenes are iconic at this point. I mean who reloads there arms in a fight? Henry Cavil does in this movie and it just feels and looks natural. However, that dude did just jack up Tom and Henry. Which is also something I think see this series doing a lot. Allowing Ethan to not be the best, but good enough to think the next move forward and that is how he wins.

Speaking of these two, we really should talk about the entire cast. Tom and Henry? Great. They are both consummate actors. However, when you add Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Michelle Monaghan, Sean Harris, Angela Basset, and Alec Baldwin, you see the heavy weights in this cast. Sean Harris and Simon Pegg should get a lot of love for their back and forth in playing each other plus how they react to their character's previous reactions. After seeing Vanessa Kirby in [[The Fantastic Four First Steps]] and then watching this, I can see the outstanding growth she has had. She was good in this, especially in her facial expressions. That is what you want to pay attention to. Just chef's kiss for the entire cast.

My Rating

A stupid good movie. When I decided to rewatch this series, this was the movie I was most excited to watch. I mean banger after banger since Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol, but this is the best one. A true action film with an unbelievable cast. The only hit I can give it is that some of the story beats for the extras feels unrealistic as to who their characters are supposed to be, top assassin's and spies from different governments. They just were to easy to dispose of in the movie. I am giving this a 9.

Parental Rating

Limit blood that isn't a story beat. Which basically means that you aren't seeing blood exploding out of the back of someone after they get shot, but you do see a growing blood spot for the team and their allies after they get shot and it helps show something in the story. There is no sex or sexual commentary. The language is no more than what you would hear on TV. So I am going to say approved by Dad and rejected by Mom. There just isn't any family elements, but I think she would enjoy watching it.
