Review

As we continue this rewatch of the John Wick series, this is much more return to form and enjoyment than John Wick Chapter 2. What is also the return is the introduction to more of the underworld. You meet an "Adjudicator" that seems to have overwhelming power and reach within the world. In fact, no seems to mess with her at all or even threatens her even with the absurd requirements she makes on those that have helped John. Since I am rewatching these, I really think the High Table is more afraid of John than we think and the story that is mentioned in John Wick about being a man of focus is something they fear. We do see that fear in John Wick Chapter 4. Also speaking of the Underworld and their Rules, I noticed that the bounties on John never reset. The first movie we see $2 million, the next we see $4 million, and then in this we see $14 million in this movie. I am curious if they add more to the pot and it just sits there. Also did the previous ones even close since the first 2 people died? Just thinking out loud here.

The fight scenes as always are really good. This is especially true with the introduction of the Ninjas. They are so cool the way they just appear out of the scenery. If you look for them you can see them, but if you aren't they just appear and it is spectacular.

There isn't a part of the cast that doesn't do well. I mean the Adjudicator is super weird and you just hate her which speaks to her ability kind of like Geoffrey in Game of Thrones.

My Rating

This movie is highly entertaining and just a fun watch. There are a couple fight scenes early on that make you chuckle and are just amazed at the threats that these people pose to each other. This is where you get sucked back into the series and are eagerly waiting for the next one. Solid 8.

Parental Rating

Violence? Duh. Blood and gore? Oh god yes. Language? Some. Sex? None. This is a straight action movie. There isn't a lot of defining moments and is appealing to those that like action movies. Therefore, my mom is out. This isn't for her. My dad however is in. It is right up his alley. I should really ask him if he has seen this series.
