Ironheart
This pattern repeats itself up to the final episode where she makes the dumbest bargan of her life. Because she is selfish. She isn't a hero, she is the sociopathic "victim" that we all hate about Karens. Oh yeah, did I mention that she is a murderer? Cold-blooded.

Synopsis
Riri Williams, after the events of Black Panther Wakanda Forever, Riri is obsessed with becoming "Iconic" and is kicked out of MIT. On her return home to Chicago, her suit is damaged, so she joins a shady group to make some money to repair it. However, the leader of the group is way more than shady.
Review
I wanted to like this show. Riri wasn't my favorite in Wakanda Forever, but I thought it could be cool. I didn't like Loki that much till his show so you know, things can change. However, this wasn't the time. Dominique Thorn is fine. I think she does a decent job in her role. The writing is what failed her mostly. She also wasn't the most believable cast member out of the group. The girl from the candy store (intentionally vague to not give spoilers) does an honest to goodness better job. She does more work making you believe her actions actually do have magic than Thorn does in making you think she is an engineer.
The story is abysmal. There is a line where a character says that Riri is a "Selfish, egotistical, something something" and it is right on the money. The show starts with her trying to weasel out of selling tech that she made to other students allow them to cheat on their homework. Doesn't take ownership of that, so says "They are trying to keep me small" then she steals the suit, again, and flys to Chicago. She then meets a team of criminals, and joins them. When the person she replaces ends up dead, she doesn't tell the team or leave the group. This pattern repeats itself up to the final episode where she makes the dumbest bargan of her life. Because she is selfish. She isn't a hero, she is the sociopathic "victim" that we all hate about Karens. Oh yeah, did I mention that she is a murderer? Cold-blooded.
The CGI is pretty good. I mean it could be when 90% of the fights with the suit take less than 3 minutes and the "AI" is actually a real person. I could probably do the CGI for when she fades out at my computer. Would it cost money? Sure, but not the 2+ years this show was in development. For reference, this show stopped filming in 2022. The final fight scene is basically a rinse and repeat of scenes we have seen in previous movies.
My Rating
Rotten Tomatoes critics gave this an 86. They are absolutely wrong. Audiences gave it a 53. IMDB gave it a 4.1. Audiences are absolutely right on this. If not being generous. Rotten Tomatoes must have been paid for a good review. Like I said, I wanted to like this show, but it didn't look good in trailers, and the Riri isn't a good person with a litany of bad choices. In Episode 8 - Marvel Phase 5, which you can watch here, we expected this show to be a D. We were wrong. It is an F. Thankfully it is the end of Marvel Phase 5 and just like it being phase 5, this show is a 5, and it is only that high because the fighting in the early episodes is pretty good.
Parental Rating
I don't even know how to rate this for them. Some language. Some violence. No sex, however one repeated sexually implied line which is more funny that perverse. The violence is there, but not graphic. While this show does have a background story of dealing with trauma, that plays such a back role that my mom wouldn't be able to get through it. My dad would be board because there just isn't enough going on. I am going to say rejected by both.
