In the Grey

Synopsis

A team of debt/bounty hunters are able to collect a billion dollar debt from a dude who owns an island. In that collection, a deal was made that the debt owners did not keep, meaning that the dude feels cheated and is after them.

Review

This movie is a modern day The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Very much the same style of comedy and action. There is just this level of comedy that makes watching this very enjoyable in a sarcastic and brotherly love type of way.

I had never thought of Jake Gyllenhaal and Henry Cavill working together, but they were outstanding. They played their roles so well that it did feel like they had been doing movies together for a long time. They have great chemistry together in a brotherly fashion.

The action is really well done. There are layers in the action and story telling that come back around throughout the movie. I mean it is a Guy Ritchie movie so we shouldn't expect anything less.

My Rating

There isn't a lot of depth to this movie. Eiza Gonzalez plays a solid role of someone who is so used to getting everything she has ever wanted and then to have a blocker in the way. It was honestly a great piece of acting from almost everyone. It was an enjoyable movie that is just fun action. I am giving this a 7.

Parental Rating

Language and violence throughout. There isn't a chance either of them would even get far enough to make it to the story. Rejected by both.
