Game Changer

Synopsis

A verity show where the players walk into the show without knowing the game they are playing or possibly the rules and these comedians must figure out the rules to win.

Review

As this is more of an "Internet Show" I thought about not writing a review for it, but it is 6 seasons long, so I spent some time watching it. With that, lets crack on.

Overall, as it is with "Whose Line is it Anyway?" some episodes are mind-numbingly boring. Others are hysterical, fall on the ground laughing. Most of the episodes are ok with some splashes of outrageousness that are either funny or blindsiding.

You will quickly find that there are some people in the episodes that you just don't like. Their comedy just isn't for you. While others, you will watch because they are dead on.

My Rating

Because of this show being never the same, there is no story to speak of and so it is just a sense of the games that are played. Some of them are awesome, and I would love to play them with my friends. They are just simple, but give a great opportunity for some witty repartee. I've always wanted to say that. However, most of the games are completely skippable or focus on something I am not interested in. IMDB gives it a 9.1 and that is crazy high, but I feel that it is because of something I will talk about below. Some episodes are great, most are ok, but I will not be continuing the show. I give it a 6 or 7.

Parental Rating

They will never watch this and not just because it is an "Internet Show." There is an astonishing amount of language and sexual innuendo. There is also a lot of what my parents would call "alternative" lifestyles. They don't have an issue with most of it other than religious reasons, but they are not going to instigate anything with it. They just don't understand. However, this show at times pushed the bounds of normal decency or shows a lack of shame that is very much indicative of the generation they represent. It is so much at times, that I feel embarrassed for them, and they are fine putting their sex life out in the open to an excessive amount. However, these same episodes did teach me a lot about the LGBTQ+ community that I never knew or would have ever known about. These episodes would make my parents run for the hills. It is too much for them. Between these two facts, it doesn't matter how funny any episode is, they are both out like the Sharks when someone wants something crazy like a million dollars for .1% of the company. Rejected by both.
