Synopsis

After getting his double "O" status, Bond sets out to stop a master mind in the finance of terrorist world. He has to defeat him and others in high stakes poker game.

Review

This is when the Bond world mad a resurgence. With gusto and charm. Daniel Craig is easily my favorite. I mean we have come a long way from the womanizing days of Sean Connery and the classic bond, but Daniel is honestly the growth you want in Bond. Not this movie though.

This is 2006 though and parkour and the entire first 10 minutes of the movie is basically that. Which honestly, I am not mad about, but I am glad that it is over.

The limited action that you do see is really well done. The gun fights feel good, but are still in the Bond format. The drama is probably better than the action for the most part in this movie and I think Daniel Craig and Eva Green are really good together. They play off each other so well.

My Rating

I think we need to start off by talking about the Aston Martin. It is a beautiful car. The way they crash it is such a gut punch, but an awesome scene. This was the start of me enjoying the Bond movies. Also, can we stop and talk about the torture scene with Bond in the chair? What a crazy thing to bring Daniel to the word with. I really enjoy this movie. It is an 8.

Parental Rating

I just talked about the scene with Bond in the chair and that is where you'll lose my mom if she wasn't already out. There is a little bit of language, and the sex is implied, but not shown. I am going to say that this is approved by Dad, and rejected by Mom.
