Bad Boys: Ride or Die

Synopsis

The old captain is being framed as being part of the drug cartels, put Mike and Marcus on the offensive to clear his name and find the dirty player.

Review

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. That is basically the premise of the series at this point and I don't hate it. The action is upbeat, the jokes fly left and right and are in the similar style as the last three movies.

What makes this one a bit weirder, maybe better, as Marcus has a near death experience and he just says some of the off the wall stuff that I would place a huge bet that was all ad-lib. One of the ones that I still remember weeks later is "I need to tell you this. In a past life, you were a donkey and I was your owner. You were a stubborn ass donkey. I guess nothing changes." It caught me so off-guard that I really laughed.

The action is just as good as the previous one and the team really feels well together. They make you laugh, and this might be my favorite role for Alexander Ludwig. He just is so serious in his delivery of the jokes and they just are going to hit you just right.

The story is a little meh. I feel like we've had enough with the compromised/corrupt politician that is directly connected to the team and they had no idea. Its boring at this point.

My Rating

I liked this better than Bad Boys for Life. It really just hit me multiple times with the silly jokes. I could lose Mike's kid as I don't think he really does anything of value. Who does do something special is Reggie. His role makes me laugh too. Man this movie was good. Solid effort for a final(?) movie in this series. I am going to give it an 8.

Parental Rating

Nope. Nope. No. Hell no. Lots of language, violence, drugs, and some sex. Neither of my parents would go near this series for sure. Rejected by both.
