Bad Boys for Life

Will and Martin are again outstanding in their comedy. I really like the return of Reggie as it is one of my favorite scenes from Bad Boys II where they make a scene when he picks up Martin's daughter.

Synopsis

The boys are back at it in their attempt to save the city from crime. However, sins of the past have come back to haunt Mike Lowrey and those close to him.

Review

The story is pretty good, minus the introduction of the stupid Spanish fake sentence that they even call fake. For it just to be thrown in there, even though he says it early in the movie like he has said it each movie before just makes no sense. The introduction to the new team is pretty good, and I am curious if they will show up in the next one, Bad Boys Ride or Die. They for sure feel like the young gen Z guys that older people can't understand, and they have no respect for the older generation.

The action is on par for the series. Lots of explosions, lots of silly fight moves and slides that make no sense in the real world, but are fun in movies.

My Rating

Like the other Bad Boys movies, this is more for some classic action, and they don't shy away from that. I still think the combo of Will and Martin are amazingly funny for a good buddy cop series. Probably one of the more consistently funny series. This one is weaker in the series and that makes it a 7.

Parental Rating

Heavy sexual language, a decent amount of "traditional" language, some scene of heavy gore, and I don't think there was as much club scenes with scantily clad woman. Of course there was one, but it wasn't as crazy as the last ones. I am going to say rejected by both. My dad does not enjoy these movies and my mom would never watch them.

28 Weeks Later

Actually, I was thinking about that during this movie. We learned a lot during COVID, and maybe the game Virus Inc. about the infection rate vs. death rate of a virus. Since this is so quick to infect, but easy to treat and can kill the host, why doesn't it just burn itself out?

28 Days Later

The idea of it being "Rage" for sure allowed them to be very graphic in their death, but it's the random movements that get to you the most. For instance when Cillian Murphy goes inside the church and the priest comes after him and the piles of bodies just pops up one at a time… that just gets you.

The Avengers

We also get the first and maybe the best "Hulk... Smash." Speaking of the Hulk, the scene of him running towards Natasha has been in my brain since it showed up in the trailers. Also, him beating up Thor and Loki is solid as well.

Thor

What this movie does do really well is present the scale of the fights. From the Ice Giants, the Destroyer, or the fights with Loki and Thor, you get a really good feeling of the epicness of them. There is also some nice levity, while out of place it is still funny...
