Avengers Endgame

Synopsis

After losing the fight against Thanos in Avengers Infinity War, the world is just coming back to a sense of normalcy. However, someone thought to be gone returns which sets in motion a heist to reverse those actions and restore what was lost.

Review

What an amazing movie. The culmination of 20 some odd movies that brings the story to finish the circle. It allows for the first character we fell in love with, Iron Man, to be able to finish on the high that this really started with. The story here is excellent. It has a ton of hope at the beginning of the story builds, followed by great action, to true loss that it is over.

This story really allowed all the primary members of The Avengers to shine. Scarlet and Jeremy really show their friendship in real life and in the movie. It really is evident that everyone brought there A game. I mean I don't need to mention RDJ, so I won't as his performance in this is well known and full of spoilers. We will move on to Benedict Cumberbatch who has some very subtle performance choice in the way he communicates to RDJ about their being only 1 option with the shaking in his hand from the damage.

The action is so very good. I really appreciate the team work that is pushed during the final fight and that just makes each moment so good. The "Team Girl" moment is well done, and I think part of that is due to EVERY major character has a part. That includes Pepper who has played a large role in the series, but a small and pivotal role in this movie.

One of my chief complaints which is the complaint I had with Captain Marvel is that she is SO POWERFUL, but made to be so weak for plot. It is much more evident in this movie with her fight against Thanos.

My Rating

I cannot tell you how amazing this movie is. Getting through all the movies for this epic finale is worth it. Some of them are a rough process to get through, others are outstanding. No matter what this is one of, if not the, the best movies ever made. The acting and storytelling are so well done. Even having watched this before, of course, but it still hits you in the gut and feels watching it again. This is a 9.

Parental Rating

Some language, an intense amount of violence. There is no sex. There is a lot of love between everyone and I just love seeing Tony with his family. "I love you 3000" will forever be one of the most precious lines. It is because of that, that I am going to say approved by both.
