Band of Brothers
One of the things this production group does well is make you feel like you are in the same place as they were during the war. To the point that I am curious if they did record in location, especially the little towns.

Real quick, ESP is Extra Sensory Perception which I feel is more of an overall term. There are also other techniques, that is what I am going to call it, called remote viewing, map dousing, and another one that I can't remember. Remote viewing is the idea of going to a remote location
This is a very slow open show. It does take at least 2 episodes to really be interested and what keeps you involved is just the premise of the show and Renner. This feeling is the same for each season. The episodes are slow in general, but the first couple for each season as just REALLY slow.
I know that people are mad about this show because it doesn't match The Samerillion or something along those lines. I haven't read any of the books. I tried once in middle/high school and just got lost in the descriptions. I will give it an attempt in the next decade or so.
Lastly, the story. What made for mystery in the first movie, just becomes plot holes in the second. Honestly, the whole story is more about pride, arrogance, and deceit than it is about immortals trying to survive. There are a couple new introductions to new immortals which is a cool idea, but...
Holy crap. I did not expect this show to be this good. I also didn't realize that the entire season is just one shift. That was an awesome way to present the season and allow them to roll from one episode to the next. Super smart thought process there.
To me, this movie was something that should have blown up in 2020, but I think was just surrounded by people releasing what they had since they couldn't film. It is full of everything you want. What I think hurts it the most is some of the dialogue, specifically from the Wish version of Dudley,
This pattern repeats itself up to the final episode where she makes the dumbest bargan of her life. Because she is selfish. She isn't a hero, she is the sociopathic "victim" that we all hate about Karens. Oh yeah, did I mention that she is a murderer? Cold-blooded.
I think the acting is very 90s. I know it came out then, but it doesn't hold up. Ving, Tom, and Jon are really good. The rest... not so much. Honestly, I think Jean is just overly predictable in his role, but we might want to blame the writers on that.
I can't tell you how much I detest the ex-wife. She is annoying, manipulative, whiney, and downright atrocious that her scenes are almost unbearable. She is also a terrible influence on her daughter. That aside, that really is my chief complaint about the story.
I have really enjoyed the MCU and this is where it started. Before I left for the Marines, I used to fall asleep to the special edition version of Iron Man and for me, it is still a feel good movie. This is a worthwhile series at this point where you will enjoy it and not feel lost.
I like the story on this. There is a lot of prep in the silliness and the duplicitous actions of Clooney make sense for the character and his real long term goal. I personally think he told Pitt the whole plan, but we just don’t see it.
