The Skyline is by far the best car in this movie, and I am so sad that it plays such a limited part in this movie. The scene where all the cars push out of the garage is fascinating. Kind of stupid, but fascinating. The acting is still just a push. You can see it getting better, but it isn't great

Synopsis

Brian is asked to go undercover once again to stop a drug lord from getting away. He calls on his childhood friend to help, but that relationship isn't a friendly one.

Review

This movie is rough. Entertaining, but rough. Tyrese Gibson's character is hard to digest in the beginning. He flips from being pissed all the time, to being a clown all the time. I just can't take him seriously. Knowing where the rest of the series goes, it works, but it is hard to handle in this movie. Suki and Ludacris are by far one of my favorite parts of the movie. They have great chemistry and respect with each other. It's fun.

The car racing is much more limited. More stunt driving than racing, but it is well done. I also appreciate they corrected the cars going under 18-wheeler stunt since so many people tried to do it after the The Fast and the Furious. The Skyline is by far the best car in this movie, and I am so sad that it plays such a limited part in this movie. The scene where all the cars push out of the garage is fascinating. The acting is still just a push. You can see it getting better, but it isn't great. I find it more believable now. The story is decent too. I can totally see Miami being a good place for this movie, and it reminds me of the Bad Boys Ride or Die.

I almost forgot. Some of the racing scene NOS use CGI looks awful. I feel like I am watching the worst 2000s science movie of all time.

My Rating

My problem with this movie is more that the jokes are too much. They never stop and so you never get a break for any weight to set in. Even the scene with the rat is a one shot that gets over run by a joke in the next. You just don't believe that the plan won't work. As entertaining as this is, that is it biggest fault. It is more comedy than storytelling. For that, it gets a 6.

Parental Rating

Lots and lots and lots of sexual comment and scenes. Its a lot. There is no hard language, but there is a lot of it. The violence is actually very small. I mean the mustang gets run over and that might be the most violent thing that happens even with someone being shot. Based on the rule and the content, both my parents are out. Rejected by both.
