Ethan is called to hunt and secure a genetically modified disease that was takin from his friend.

Review

The number of flips, whether that is a kick flip, and flip that lands with feet on people is crazy. It is so over the top, just like the flips, that it is annoying. Expressly and obnoxiously annoying.

I really don't like the acting. Tom is fine, Laurence Fishburne is fine, and then it goes downhill with Thandiwe Newton, the love interest, and Dougray Scott. The whole love interest side plot honestly was harder to fathom than the creation of the world most deadly flu in order to create a cure for the flu. I need to correct myself a second, Brendan Gleeson, was really good. I liked him and you can't ever be mad at Gucci Ving Rhames.

Speaking of Ving, his character makes no sense. He shows up in Gucci and Louis Vuitton stuff, but works for the US government and has been disavowed until recently? Where did he steal his stuff? Also, these people must have the most paranoia of all time. You are dating a thief and are surprised enough that she took something from you and moved it to think your old job? Did you leave that many clues that it was you who stole the virus?

My Rating

This movie is overwhelmed by continuity errors. The stunts feel forced, the action is over the top to the point you'd rather look at the bottom of the fall from the opening scene. It just is the low point of the series. Speaking that this is 2025, I am surprised that it made another movie, but I know that Tom Cruise was massive then and I am glad it did since most of the second half to include Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning is outstanding. This movie just isn't it. I am going to give this one a 6. Mediocre store, acting, and action leads you to run away.

Parental Rating

Honestly, the forced sexual tension is so bad that while there isn't a PG-13 amount of sex, my mom would not watch this. There is some language, but mostly on the low end. The violence is there. Sloppy, but there. I am going to say that it is approved by Dad and rejected by Mom.
