Summary

In this episode, we talk about Assassin's Creed Shadows and the Switch 2. At one point it gets so heated that a bet is made that would have originally pissed off our wives. However, cooler heads prevailed and we toned it down a bit. From the cost, the games, the showcase, and the hardware, we leave no stone unturned trying to figure out if this is an upgrade or a new system.

Drink Recipe Name

Emerald Overdrive

A neon green stunner with a fruity-melon blast, citrus zing, and a whisper of floral intrigue. Designed to look like it came from a video game cutscene and taste like a side quest for your taste buds.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Midori
  • 0.75 oz Roku Gin (light botanical lift)
  • 0.5 oz Cointreau (bright citrus contrast)
  • 0.5 oz Fresh Lime Juice (to sharpen and balance)
  • 0.25 oz Plum Liqueur (just a splash for silkiness and intrigue)
  • 2 dashes orange or grapefruit bitters
  • Egg white or aquafaba (optional, for a vivid, foamy top layer)
  • Garnish: dehydrated lime wheel, green sugar rim, or edible glitter

Instructions:

  1. Optional step: If using egg white or aquafaba, dry shake all ingredients first (no ice) to build foam.
  2. Add ice and shake vigorously.
  3. Double strain into a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass to show off the color.
  4. Garnish with a dehydrated lime wheel, a glowing green sugar rim, or even a little edible glitter to emphasize the fantasy vibe.

Red Potion

A lush, modern-style cocktail blending fruit-forward sweetness with Japanese-inspired depth and balance.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Japanese Plum Whiskey (adds richness and a soft umami depth)
  • 0.5 oz Roku Gin (botanical brightness)
  • 0.75 oz Strawberry Puree Syrup
  • 0.5 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 0.25 oz Cointreau (citrus lift)
  • 2 dashes aromatic or orange bitters
  • Garnish: sliced strawberry fan or a thin lemon wheel + edible flower
  • Optional: egg white or aquafaba for foam and texture
  • Ice

Instructions:

  1. In a shaker, combine all ingredients. If using egg white/aquafaba, do a dry shake first.
  2. Add ice and shake hard until chilled and frothy.
  3. Double strain into a chilled coupe glass.
  4. Garnish with a strawberry fan, lemon wheel, or something whimsical like an edible flower or leaf.
